Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri was an Indian actress, who gained recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Her birthplace was in an Mumbai middle-class family and started dancing in her early years. As a young woman began acting, but had a difficult time as a majority films she made were not successful. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. The marriage of her mother led to an interruption in her career. The actress returned in later years. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit was awarded fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is the fourth-highest civil honour in India. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
